Green Team – Tree Canopy Project
Crestview has a rich history of planting and maintaining a healthy tree canopy. In the early 1990s, the Board researched, prepared and then executed a detailed plan to secure member participation, municipal support and government funding to plant over 300 trees across Crestview.
2019 Updates: Authorization from the Board to begin rebuilding this project received; Carlo Matricardi to lead pilot project.
Emergency Response – Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) Program
Have you been trained in a CERT program?
The Crestview Neighborhood Association has answered the call of residents to increase and improve our Emergency Preparedness through offering local CERT training. This training is free offered for free by the LAFD and will be available upon request locally in coordination with the Association.
Tentative locations for 2020 classes will be held at the Claude Pepper Senior Center; we look forward to the opportunity to host classes in 2021 at the (rebuilt) Robertson Recreation Center. Sign-Up for class updates via: firstname.lastname@example.org
The CNA Board and the Community Events Committee organizes a wide variety of events for Crestview residents. These include Picnic Socials, Garage Sales, Block Parties, Town Hall Meetings, and Clean Up activities. They are always looking for event ideas and volunteers to help organize or work at these events. Every member is invited to join this committee.
The Transportation Committee is responsible for issues pertaining to traffic, streets and sidewalks. The Committee focuses on local concerns such as speeding, cut-through traffic and sidewalk issues. We work with the City Council offices and local agencies such as Department of Transportation and Street Maintenance to find solutions and to get Crestview more resources.

Land Use/ Planning Committee
The CNA Land Use Committee was formed with a mission to inform the CNA Board of local City Ordinances and to provide and disseminate information to the community at large. In an effort to preserve the character of the neighborhood the CNA Land Use Committee will also work to reach to its residents in an effort learn of any concerns or possible problems in the neighborhood. This committee will also inform the residents of the many ongoing developments at City Hall regarding projects which may have an impact on the quality of life within Crestview. The CNA Land Use Committee above all depends upon it’s residents’ input to help guide and prioritize quality of life issues which need the greatest attention.
Neighborhood Cleanup Team
The Crestview Neighborhood Association periodically organizes and sponsors trash clean ups in our area. In the past we have walked the perimeter form Pickford to Sawyer, Sawyer to Robertson and Robertson to Pickford. What we have found is Trash! We need your help. We will advertise this via the Crestview Chat or on the website. Join and meet your neighbors in this worthwhile endeavor and in the process get some exercise. Any and all efforts are appreciated and all ages are welcome. This only works with your help and commitment.
